Filmmaker David A. Goldenberg was raised in Paris and Washington DC. After graduating from Dartmouth College, he was a Peace Corps volunteer, serving as the director of a visual aids unit for a Kenya Government Ministry. He returned to Kenya to carry out his thesis research for his PhD in anthropology from Brown University.

Dr. Goldenberg taught for some years at the University of Rhode Island. However, he spent the vast majority of his career supporting the community development efforts of international NGOS in over thirty-five countries in the developing world.  His expertise includes strategic planning, policy development, program research and evaluation.

Since 2000, he has filmed, edited, and produced a number of short documentary films on the arts, biography, community projects, and history. He lives in Cranston, Rhode Island.
